Attachments included

Files attached to a message are sent to SendGrid with it.

CC and BCC kept

Addresses in CC and BCC headers are passed to SendGrid along with To.

Reply-To respected

A Reply-To header, like a form’s reply address, is set on the SendGrid message.

HTML or plain text

Each message is sent as HTML or plain text to match its Content-Type header.

SendGrid errors surfaced

If SendGrid refuses a message, its error message is passed to wp_mail_failed.

First in line

If other delivery modules are on too, a set-up SendGrid is the one that sends.
How it works

Set up SendGrid in three steps

Turn on SendGrid

Switch on SendGrid under Hash Form > Modules and click Save.

Paste the API key

Click the SendGrid cog, paste the API Key and click Save Settings.

Send a test

Use Send Test Email in the Email Settings module to check delivery through SendGrid.

Does SendGrid handle mail from other plugins too?

Yes. Once the API Key is saved, every message the site sends with wp_mail goes through SendGrid.

What permission does the key need?

The settings popup asks for a key with the Mail Send permission, and the From address must be a verified sender.

What if SendGrid rejects a message?

wp_mail reports it as failed, and the message isn’t retried through the web server, so it can’t go out twice.
