Features/Conditional Logic

Free in Hash Form

Show each question only when it applies

Conditional logic shows or hides fields based on earlier answers, so a form stays short for everyone who fills it in. Rules run as the visitor types, and the builder shows each rule right on the fields it connects.

Fields marked with the conditional logic rule that shows or hides them
What you get

Forms that react to every answer

Show or hide

Choose whether a rule shows a field or hides it.

Eight comparisons

Equals, not equals, greater or less than (or equal to), is like and is not like.

Rule after rule

Add a condition for every field that depends on another answer.

Instant

Fields appear and disappear while the visitor types, and rules are checked again on submit.

Marked on the canvas

A field shows the rule that controls it, and the field deciding it says so.

Kept when copied

Duplicate or import a form and its rules point at the new form’s own fields.
How it works

Set up a rule in three steps

01

Open the settings

In the form builder, open the Settings tab and choose Conditional Logic.

02

Add a condition

Click Add Condition, choose Show or Hide and the field it applies to.

03

Set the trigger

Conditional forms to try

These Hash Form Pro templates use it. Each demo is the real form, rendered straight from the template.

Support Triage (Conditional)

Routes the visitor to the right questions by what they picked, so nobody is asked for an invoice number about a bug.

Service Quote Calculator

Prices itself as the visitor fills it in, and only asks about extras once a plan that has them is chosen.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Still wondering about Conditional Logic? The documentation covers every setting, and we are happy to help.

Is conditional logic free?

Yes. Conditional logic is part of the free Hash Form plugin.

Can one answer control several fields?

Yes. Add a condition for each field it should show or hide.

Do rules survive copying a form?

Yes. When you duplicate or import a form, its rules are pointed at the copy’s own fields.

Can I check the rules before publishing?

Yes. The preview marks conditional fields and says how many are hidden by a rule at that moment.
