Buyers enter their card on a payment page on your site, and it is charged through Authorize.Net straight away. Outside local development, that page requires HTTPS.

What you set up

  • Authorize.Net module
  • Test Mode / Live Mode
  • Login ID
  • Transaction Key
  • Card form
    Card Number, Expiry Month, Expiry Year and CVV, then Pay Now.
  • Charged at once
    The card is authorised and captured in a single request.
  • HTTPS required
    On a live site, the card page only works over HTTPS.

Test Mode sends charges to Authorize.Net’s test environment.

Separate test keys

The Login ID and Transaction Key are stored apart for Test Mode and Live Mode.

One charge per entry

An entry that is already paid, or has a charge in progress, is not charged again.

Amount from the server

The charge uses the total worked out from the saved entry, not a figure from the page.
How it works

Set up Authorize.Net in three steps

Turn on Authorize.Net

Switch on the Authorize.Net module under Hash Form > Modules and click Save.

Add API login

In the cog settings, choose a mode and add Login ID and Transaction Key.

Add the field

Set the amount in Payment Settings and add a Payment field that offers Authorize.Net.

Do card details pass through my site?

Yes. The card form is on your site and the details are sent on to Authorize.Net, which is why the page needs HTTPS.

Can I refund from Hash Form?

Not from Hash Form. Refund the payment in your Authorize.Net account.
