What you can do with Dropbox

Connect with OAuth

Add your App Key and App Secret, then click Authorize with Dropbox to connect.

Limited file access

The connection asks only for file read, file write and metadata read access.

Stays signed in

Offline access means an expired token is refreshed and the request tried again.

Choose the forms

Enable Dropbox appears in each form’s File Storage settings once you’re connected.

Name clashes handled

Uploads ask Dropbox to rename a file rather than overwrite one with the same name.

Keep a local copy

Turn on Enable Local Storage to keep uploads on your server as well.
How it works

Set up Dropbox in three steps

Turn on Dropbox

Switch on Dropbox under Hash Form > Modules and click Save.

Authorize the app

Add the Redirect URI to your Dropbox app, save App Key and App Secret, then authorize.

Enable it per form

In the form builder, open Settings > File Storage and turn on Enable Dropbox.

What’s saved in the entry?

A temporary Dropbox link for each file copied to Dropbox, stored in the upload field.

Will an upload overwrite a file with the same name?

No. Uploads are sent with autorename on, so the new file is given a different name.

Can I use Dropbox and Google Drive on the same form?

Yes. Switch both on under File Storage and each upload is copied to both.
