The key is stored in the site’s plugin settings and never loaded into the AI Form page.

One-sentence brief

One sentence is enough to start, and Claude drafts the fields in Form Preview.

JSON without a mode

Claude is asked for JSON in its instructions, and code fences around the reply are stripped.

Refine the draft

Follow-up messages ask Claude for the full updated form, not only the changed fields.

Errors in plain words

A failed request shows Anthropic’s error message, and a cut-off draft asks for fewer fields.

Pick per question

When several services have keys, the assistant’s service menu lets you choose Claude.

Saved as a form

Save Form creates the form and its fields, ready to open in the form builder.
How it works

Set up Claude in three steps

Turn on Claude

Switch on Claude under Hash Form > Modules and click Save.

Save your key

On Hash Form > AI Form, choose Claude, paste your API key and click Save Key.

Send a description

Describe the form you need, click Send and review the draft in Form Preview.

Which Claude model is used?

claude-sonnet-5 by default. Developers can change it with the hashform_ai_model filter.

How long can a generated form be?

Replies are capped at 4,096 tokens. If a draft runs past that, you’re told to ask for fewer fields and add the rest afterwards.

Can I replace a saved key?

Yes. Click Change key on the AI Form screen, or type a new value in the Claude settings popup.
