FAQ

Questions, answered

Still wondering about Akismet? The documentation covers every setting, and we are happy to help.

Where does the API key come from?

From the Akismet setup already on your site: the WPCOM_API_KEY constant or the key saved by the Akismet plugin.

What if no key is found?

Submissions aren’t checked and go through as normal. The same happens if Akismet can’t be reached.

Does it apply to every form?

Yes. While the module is on, submissions to all forms are checked.
