Buyers are sent to Paystack’s checkout and back, where the transaction is verified with Paystack. If it settled a different amount, the payment is marked failed with the reason.

What you can do with Paystack

Your form’s currency

The transaction is opened in the form’s currency, not your account’s default one.

Clear currency errors

If Paystack refuses the currency, the buyer is asked to choose another payment method.

Mismatches explained

A payment settled for the wrong amount is marked failed, with both amounts noted.

Full or partial refunds

Enter an amount under Refund on the payment’s page, or leave it empty to refund the rest.

Re-check with gateway

Ask Paystack for a transaction’s status from its page in Hash Form > Payments.

Test Mode

Try the flow with your test keys, then switch Payment Mode to Live Mode.
How it works

Set up Paystack in three steps

Turn on Paystack

Switch on the Paystack module under Hash Form > Modules and click Save.

Add your API keys

In the cog settings, choose a mode and add the API Key and API Secret.

Price the form

Choose NGN, GHS, ZAR, KES or USD in Payment Settings and add a Payment field.

Which currencies can I use?

NGN, GHS, ZAR, KES and USD. Paystack isn’t offered on a form priced in anything else.

What if my Paystack account can’t take the currency?

The buyer is told Paystack can’t accept payments in that currency and asked to choose a different payment method.

Can I refund from WordPress?

Yes. Open the payment in Hash Form > Payments and refund all of it or part of it.
